Guided by the book Woven, and weaving in Holy Scripture, the lives of the saints, the wisdom of the Church fathers, and the spiritual disciplines of Orthodox Christianity, we will uncover what it means to be a young woman “fearfully and wonderfully made” (Psalm 139) in God’s image. We will explore topics such as emotions, image, friendship, and relationships through reading, writing, engaging discussions, practical exercises, and crafts/activities. By the end of the course, young women will be strengthened in their faith, ready to face the moral challenges of an ever-changing world with wisdom and courage, and embrace their identity as “marvelous” (Psalm 139) icons of Christ.
Required Materials: Books and supplies are not included in the purchase of the course. These resources are listed to help inform your decision-making as you make course selections and build your course schedule. Please reach out to the instructor if you have any questions about materials.
OPTIONAL: supplies for occasional crafts/activities (list to be sent by instructor)
