This course introduces high school students to some of the important historical texts of the 20th century and into the 21st. While studying these texts, students explore ideas, controversies, events, and the cast of characters that molded the past century and are shaping the first decades of our own century.
While the course focuses on history, it also integrates some study of 20th Century Literature, helping students to see the integration of both history and literature. In this upper-school course, students will examine and discuss events, trends, ideas, achievements, and failures found over the past century.
Required Materials: Books and supplies are not included in the purchase of the course. These resources are listed to help inform your decision-making as you make course selections and build your course schedule. Please reach out to the instructor if you have any questions about materials.
