Biography

Mrs. Dixie Hacker holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Master of Secondary Education with an emphasis in Mathematics. She has over 30 years of experience in education, including 10 years teaching high school math in Plano ISD, where she was honored as her campus Teacher of the Year and received the district’s Excellence in Teaching Award.
In addition to more than 20 years as a private mathematics tutor, Mrs. Hacker has been teaching high school mathematics classes since 2015 at a local non-profit serving Christian homeschool students and families. She is passionate about helping students of all backgrounds succeed in math—whether filling in foundational gaps or reaching for higher levels of achievement—and firmly believes that every student can grow and thrive in mathematics (and even enjoy the journey!).
Mrs. Hacker and her husband homeschooled their four now young adult children, and she counts it a joy to continue supporting homeschool families through her teaching ministry.
