Mrs. Lesley Stoner
Biography
Lesley Stoner has been teaching in classical Christian homeschool communities for the past 13 years. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Messiah College and a Master of Science in Nursing from Penn State University. For 14 years, she worked as a staff and clinical head nurse at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center before answering the call to homeschool. She has been involved in Schole Communities as a parent, teacher, and Upper School Director and is grateful to the tradition of classical, Christian education for the growth, community, and joy it has brought her family. She has taught Writing, Great Books, Rhetoric, Logic, and Biology at the high school level. She and her husband have been married 25 years and live just over the hill from the high school where they met in Boiling Springs, Pennsylvania. They have two children: their daughter, a recent college graduate and newlywed, and a teenage son. When she’s not teaching or homeschooling, you may find her in some of her favorite places: the library, her family’s farm, or taking long coffee drives in Pennsylvania’s South Mountain. She is active in her church as a women’s Bible study leader and high school girls’ life group leader.
